February 2007

In February a long set of planning took root and all my siblings and their families gathered at my folk's house in Terrabon to raid their archive of photos.

While some of us acted as child watch, others waded through a mound of photos dating back to before my parents were married and documenting the growing up of the kids and most of our marriages. Sister Shannon took them home and scanned them all so they could be loaded in an electronic picture frame to be given to the folks on their return to the Northern climbs in the Spring.

Much fun was had by all. Here is a group of cousins watching Shrek 3D.

December 2006

Ok, so this is more than a year back... but it is important and extends into 2007. I pulled out in front of a truck in the car. We had a low speed crunch in which no-one was hurt. Further, only Linda and I were in the car at the time so the girls didn't get the image of a truck barring down on them into their heads. Nice.
Though low speed, the impact bent the 'B' pillar on the car and required major work.

Repair took all of Christmas break and into the new year. So, we rented a van for transport to Whales In Space (WIS). Fortunately, we have maintained expensive auto insurance, and it paid off. Repairs cost us less than $600 out of pocket.

This was a rough start to a year that turned out to be quite stunningly Good, as you will see in subsequent posts. I leave you with a picture taken during WIS at the coast.

I'm Back

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted to this blog.... like.... over a year!
I will now be trying to get posts together to cover the prior year of our household. I just went through the year's photos and picked out a sampling to cove the year. It was a great year! I can't wait to tell you about it. It was so busy thought that I will take a while to cover it all. I am going to try and start at the beginning of last year and then just keep right on going when I catch up to this year.

So, stay tuned. Watch this space.
